IT'S GIRLS FOR THE GLORY
Music is the Journey
Born and raised in Queensland running bare foot, wild and free on a small rose farm, surrounded by cornfields and dirt roads, Leigha is not your average small-town girl.
Leigha Moore’s debut single “See You Around” (Carly Pearce, Skip Black and Aj Pruis) was released early in 2019 remaining in The Music Network Australian Country Hot 50 for several weeks and cracked the KIX Country Network Top 20.
Following her knock out performances at the 2019 and 2020 Toyota Star Maker Grand Final, Leigha was handpicked for three consecutive years to perform at Queensland’s biggest beach bash “Country at the Beach” sharing the stage with Casey Barnes and multi Golden Guitar winners The Wolfe Brothers and Travis Collins. .
In 2020 Leigha joined breakout artists Brad Cox, Melanie Dyer and Caitlyn Shadbolt to perform at the Live and Loud concert at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
Backroad Bash Country Music Festival labeled the Toowoomba-born songstress “highlight of the night” after her recent appearance on the festivals line up.
In 2021, Leigha hit a career highlight when she performed the National Anthem for AMPOL Women’s State of Origin, broadcasted nation-wide. Since then, she is the recipient of the AIR Women in Music Mentor Program – a program run by Australian Independent Record Label connecting aspiring music professionals to some of Australian best in the industry.
“Ain't Your Girl No More" is the title track of her debut EP released January 2020. Penned by Country Pop Queen Kelsea Ballerini, Forest Whitehead and Jesse Lee “Ain’t Your Girl No More” is a fearless introduction to the EP. Despite the boldly honest lyrics, this is not your average break up anthem, this time it’s girls for the glory - “You’re gonna’ find that another me doesn’t exist no I ain’t your girl no more”
The EP is completed by two more tracks “I Won’t Stop You” - an infectious girl pop anthem about new beginnings and “Lightning Bolt” written by Hillary Lindsay, (Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan) Blair Daly and Troy Verges. Leigha captivates us with her strikingly alluring soulful vocals, a bittersweet twist of revitalisation that differentiates from the remaining tracks.
The four-track record is a powerful acquisition to Leigha’s already promising career. Taking us on an honest journey of heartbreak, self-resurrection and female empowerment anthems, with a touch of sass and powerhouse edgy vocals.
